How to Play Beer Pong
Beer pong is one of the most popular drinking games across the world. It’s easy to learn and can get pretty competitive. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to play beer pong. Follow these steps to start playing.
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
Beer pong requires very few supplies. All you need is a beer pong table, cups, ping pong balls, and beer. Here’s a list of what you’ll need:
- Beer pong table
- Ping pong balls (1-2)
- Red solo cups (6-12)
- Beer (optional)
Step 2: Set Up the Table
Once you have all the supplies, it’s time to set up the beer pong table. The table should have a flat surface, so make sure you wipe it down with a clean cloth before you begin. Place the cups on each end of the table in a triangle formation. It’s up to you how many cups you want to use, but a standard game uses 6 cups per side.
Step 3: Arrange the Cups
Once you’ve placed the cups on the table, it’s time to arrange them. Make sure the cups are in a triangle shape and they are evenly spaced. This will ensure that each cup has an equal chance of being hit when the game is played.
Step 4: Fill the Cups
Now that the cups are arranged, it’s time to fill them up. Fill each cup with beer or any other beverage of your choice. Make sure the cups are filled to the same level so the game is fair.
Step 5: Decide Who Will Go First
Once the cups are filled, it’s time to decide who will go first. You can decide this by playing a game of rock-paper-scissors or a coin toss. The winner will get to go first and toss the ball.
Step 6: Choose Your Teams
Once the first player is determined, it’s time to choose teams. Each team should have at least two players. You can have more than two players per team, but it is not recommended as it can slow the game down.
Step 7: Start Tossing
Now that both teams are ready, it’s time to start the game. The first player will toss the ball towards the other team’s cups. The goal is to make the ball land in one of the cups. If the ball makes it in, the cup is removed from the game.
Step 8: Take Turns Throwing the Ball
Once the first player has thrown the ball, the players will take turns throwing. The players will alternate throws until all the cups have been removed from the game. The team who has removed all their opponent’s cups first, wins.
Step 9: The Bounce Shot
If a player makes a shot, they can take another shot. This is called a bounce shot. A bounce shot means that the player can toss the ball and attempt to make the shot off the table. If the ball makes it into a cup after bouncing off the table, it counts as two cups. This can help speed up the game.
Step 10: Clean Up and Play Again!
Once the game is over, it’s time to clean up. Make sure to wipe down the table and put away all the cups and ping pong balls. You can then play again or move onto another game.
