Follow these steps to make a paper crane:
- Prepare the square of paper. Start with a 6” x 6” square of paper. Fold it in half from left to right to create a triangle. Unfold it and then fold in half from top to bottom to create another triangle.
- Fold the triangle in half. To start making the body of the crane, fold the triangle in half.
- Fold the top two corners down. Pick up the top two corners of the paper and fold them down to meet the bottom edge. The result should look like a kite.
- Fold the top two corners up. Pick up the top two corners of the paper again and fold them up to meet the bottom edge. The result should look like a diamond.
- Fold the top corner down. Pick up the top corner of the diamond and fold it down to meet the bottom edge. The result should look like an arrow.
- Fold the top triangle up. Pick up the top triangle of the arrow and fold it up so the point of the triangle meets the top edge of the arrow.
